They say a man, Tohăneanu, would have established these places, documentary attested before 1600.
And also around here, on the brook Tohăneanca, Mihai Viteazul had a battle with the Poles. The village, a long time ago, had another look than it has today. The former manors that we see today, thrown over the hills, with walls and roofs now frail, bent by time, looking as they want to talk about old times.
Other tourist attractions are: The Church „Entrance in the Church of the Virgin Mary”, the archaeological Hermitage from the village Perşunari "Settlements – Bronze age: Dacia sec. V BC in the point called "Drumul Budarilor "; the Rock of Tohani and the secular oak from the farmyard No .6 of Tohani SA.
