Valea Călugărească
Valea Calugareasca is one of the rest stops on the Wine Route where you can try a red wine from Dealu Mare in one of the wineries located here, but you can also visit the Matac mansion, which was used in 1984 for shooting multiple frames from the movie "The Secret of Bacchus".
Others attractions : The Healing Spring Church opened in 1893 and built after the renowned architect Ion Mincu plans (the founder of the Romanian school of architecture), Church of St John the Baptist - from Valea Mantei (1806-1813, rebuilt in 1910, the Church of the Annunciation – from Valea Popii, The church of St. Paraschiva – from Valea Saraca, The church of the Assumption – from Nicoveni.
